The Recoil features Tektro Aires mechanical disc brakes which help you stop quickly and purposefully in any condition. The breaks work very well in both the front and back, giving you full control.
The V2100 uses superb 160mm front disk brakes mixed with also excellent integrated linear-pull rear brake levers from Shimano. Both break sets felt responsive and allowed for great control.
